A cluttered space is a cluttered mind.
Organization is about more than just tidying up—it's about understanding the psychological root of clutter and creating spaces that support mental clarity and well-being. I offer a unique approach to organization that goes beyond surface-level decluttering. By delving into the psychology of clutter and attachment, I help my clients create lasting change and transform their spaces into havens of tranquility and productivity.
Hi, I’m Emily!
As you look for ways to feel more comfortable in your space, particularly in a world where many now work from home, I've seen the psychological approach to organizing as a huge opportunity to experience a bit of calm and relief. That’s why I started Home Organizing with Emily. I use the tools and skills I'm learning in my counseling program and through research to help clients process their emotions and attachment to their belongings.
I am a professional organizer and graduate student at Hunter College studying Mental Health Counseling. I have a passion for creating calm spaces that feel safe, inviting, and warm. I aim to create this feeling for my counseling clients, and within the homes I organize. In therapy, it’s important to me to cater treatment to my clients and what they want out of counseling.
I take the same approach with home organization.
Together, we’ll talk about:
Your goals
Your habits and routines
Any feelings of attachment that come up as we reduce and reorganize your belongings
